Job Description

As an individual contributor, you will lead custom research and generate new insights in collaboration with the client’s Marketing team. Responsibilities include research project management, statistical analysis, developing presentations, sharing insights, and utilizing internal analysis and visualization tools. This position requires 50% in-office presence in Foster City, California.

  • Lead and manage end-to-end research projects, including creative research and media measurement across TV, digital, and social media channels.
  • Consult with senior business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable research objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive research plans, design surveys and studies, analyze data, and report key findings.
  • Leverage statistical analysis and data visualization tools to extract insights from complex datasets.
  • Effectively manage multiple research initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Communicate research insights through compelling storytelling, helping drive informed business decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to execute research strategies efficiently.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the evolving media landscape, including evaluation methodologies and key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/ MBA)
  • Prior market research and insights experience, including creative and media research is required

Preferred

  • 8-10+ years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6-8 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
  • Master’s degree in Consumer Behavior, Psychology, Marketing, Market Research, Sociology, Anthropology, Statistics or in a quantitative field like Economics/Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Engineering is preferred. MMR a plus
  • 5+ years' experience managing primary quantitative and qualitative market research, including creative research and media measurement, at a large global organization or a leading, globally respected market research agency.
  • Foundational understanding of branding, advertising (traditional and digital), marketing concepts and strategy a plus
  • Background in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending as well as experience from tech, consulting, CPG, retail are a plus but not required
  • Ability to transition easily from a technical research perspective to practical business considerations
  • Demonstrated mastery in uncovering insights with the ability to inspire and influence others to act on insights. Demonstrated success in using research to drive insights and strategic implications that lead to business decisions
  • Strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, a proactive approach, Excel and PowerPoint power user; strong planner and problem solver; Must display strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate analyses into easily digestible stories for senior management consumption; Must be fluent in English
