Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Correctional Officer  to join our team. This full-time role is ideal for experienced correctional professionals who can effectively supervise inmates, maintain security, and enforce institutional regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a safe and structured environment while overseeing inmate activities and compliance.

Requirements

• Supervise and manage up to five (5) assigned inmates while ensuring compliance with facility rules.
  
• Oversee inmate work assignments, rehabilitation programs, and daily activities to maintain order and discipline.
  
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to uphold security standards.
  
• Accurately document incidents, inmate behavior, and operational activities in detailed reports.
  
• Ensure proper use and accountability of uniforms, tools, and equipment issued to inmates.
  
• Communicate effectively with facility staff, inmates, and external agencies when required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• State-certified Correctional Officer with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in corrections.
  
• Valid Class B Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and at least one (1) year of experience driving a commercial vehicle.
  
• Advanced Level Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification or equivalent.
  
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and manage inmate work crews professionally.
  
• In-depth knowledge of correctional facility operations and inmate management protocols.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
  
• Employment Type: Full-time.
  
• Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts.
