Job Title: Bilingual Order Processor & Customer Support

Location: Toronto

Shift: Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm

Salary: $55-$60k / year

Purpose of the Role:
As a Bilingual Order Processor and Customer Support, you will be responsible for processing customer orders, managing order status inquiries, overseeing inventory allocation, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will work closely with various departments to ensure alignment with the business objectives, ultimately enhancing customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Order Entry/EDI Processing
    • Manage Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) orders, ensuring smooth processing and timely updates.
    • Process and audit customer orders in JDE, ensuring compliance with availability, inventory allocation, and timeliness.
    • Resolve EDI errors such as ASN discrepancies, invoice issues, and any other order-related discrepancies.
    • Coordinate inventory allocation for promotional events, launches, and seasonal campaigns.
  2. Customer Service
    • Act as the main point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies related to stock availability, shortages, shipment timings, and company policies.
    • Monitor stock shortages and follow up on orders to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
    • Provide proactive updates to customers on order shortages, delays, and backorders to minimize impact on order fill rates.
    • Maintain the Customer Master Address Book and ensure accurate setup for all customer records.
  3. Transportation Inquiry & Refusals
    • Serve as a liaison between customers, account management, and distribution teams to ensure compliance with return policies and claims.
    • Track open orders and ensure efficient processing from receipt to delivery.
    • Provide necessary documentation to the credit department for accurate inventory adjustments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma and College coursework.
  • Experience: 2+ years in Customer Service and Order Management or a similar role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; French is required.
    • Customer service-focused with the ability to collaborate effectively to resolve issues.

Software/System Proficiency:

  • JDE or similar systems
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Retail Link, Staples Partner, SPS Commerce
