For more information about Solenis, please visit What You'll Do We are looking for an Applications Project Manager to join our Cooling team! You will serve as a product & market expert, providing technical (and some business) support and training to our commercial sales team in North America, as well as: Supporting geographic/corporate growth initiatives by partnering with sales to identify and develop new business opportunities. Identifying technical solutions through problem solving, developing new applications, product selection, and designing trials. Communicating with sales representatives and customers to understand their processes, ongoing issues, and potential chemical solutions. Building relationships with technical and production leaders to turn adverse situations into business opportunities. Responsibilities include: Maintaining existing business and developing new product lines with R&D and Product Management, documenting all aspects of product validation (technical, financial, sustainability, patents, and regulatory). Managing smaller sections of an SBU or product line with minimal supervision and coaching from management. Acting as a safety leader through training and education internally and externally. Supporting growth and new business pursuits with sales, including onsite audits, application recommendations, and trial management. Providing field support by troubleshooting and managing best practices to sustain business. Driving new product development and portfolio growth through idea generation, product launch management, and validation projects. Conducting training sessions for sales teams and developing training materials and technical literature. Managing trial reporting, administration, and communications. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Biological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field, or 20 years of experience in Cooling and Corrosion technology. Prior sales experience and business fundamentals. Experience troubleshooting cooling systems in upset situations. Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time. Expertise in: Administering chemical programs for cooling systems, including corrosion and scale control. Use of oxidizers and proprietary biocides. Working with various cooling systems, both open and closed. Utilities in Power, Pulp/Paper Water, Hydrocarbon, and Chemical processing industries (preferred). Reverse osmosis processes (a plus).
