ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our company has been servicing SE Michigan for going on 60 years. We have around 165 employees throughout 3 offices. Our Shelby Township office is our headquarters. We also have a fully functioning office in Roseville, and a small satellite office in Livonia. We do have plans to expand our Livonia office over the next few years, but it is currently more of a meeting space for our employees to meet with clients in that area.

The work we do is roughly 75% municipal and 25% private. We work with 30-35 municipalities in SE Michigan and have great relationships throughout this area. We are very comfortable in this geographic region and do not have plans to expand at this time (geographically). The private work we do includes residential development, schools, etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a member of our traffic engineering team, you will be working closely with Senior Traffic Engineer and Project Managers to perform tasks related to Traffic Engineering and Transportation Engineering Services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Traffic Operation Studies (provide capacity analysis and design of geometric elements)

· Traffic Impact Studies

· Traffic Safety Studies

· Traffic Signal Design

· Preparation of construction plans and specifications (including geometric design, signing and pavement marking design, maintenance of traffic design).

EDUCATION

· BS in Civil Engineering or related field

REQUIREMENTS

· 6+ years of related work experience

· Understanding of basic traffic engineering concepts

· AutoCAD experience

· Progressing towards licensure, or possessing a PE license in Michigan

· Understanding of basic traffic engineering concepts

· Synchro and SimTraffic Experience- Preferred

· Microstation experience- Preferred

SALARY RANGE

$85K-$135K per year according to years of experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

· On site 5 days/week (Address: 51301 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Township, MI 48315)

· Office work schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am- 4:00pm
