Role Overview :
We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to lead the design strategy for our growing platform. This individual will be responsible for driving and executing the entire design process, ensuring a seamless and impactful user experience across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both high-level strategy and hands-on design work, with a deep understanding of user-centered design, research, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
This individual will lead the effort to revisit and elevate our legacy designs to align with the product's evolving direction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Thinking : Own the design vision for the platform, balancing the big-picture direction with detailed, user-centric solutions. Guide the design process from concept to implementation, driving improvements based on user research and business goals.
- Legacy Design Overhaul : Lead the refinement of existing platform elements, ensuring that new designs reflect the product's elevated direction while maintaining consistency and scalability.
- User Research & Testing : Conduct in-depth user research to understand pain points, preferences, and behaviors. Use this data to inform design decisions and continuously iterate on user experience improvements.
- Feature & UX Strategy : Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to work on key features and user flows that meet business objectives while enhancing the user experience.
- Wireframing & Prototyping : Create mid-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and validate user interactions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and aligned designs across platforms.
- Design Standards & Best Practices : Uphold design best practices and accessibility standards to ensure user-centric, scalable, and inclusive experiences.
- Own and manage the end-to-end design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and adaptability across all software products in the product pipeline. Develop and implement a long-term design strategy that supports the growth of complex feature sets. Leverage a deep understanding of visual hierarchy and information architecture to optimize feature usability and user efficiency as the system expands.
Qualifications and Skills :
- 10+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a proven track record of leading design projects for large-scale software systems with thousands of users.
- Research expertise : Ability to run and synthesize user and feature research to create evidence-based design solutions.
- Design leadership : Experience leading design projects and teams, with the ability to grow and mentor junior designers as the team expands.
- Strong systems thinking : Experience designing and optimizing complex systems with multiple user types, permissions, and interactions across various platforms.
- Strategic design thinking: Proven ability to think strategically and long-term about how design supports and enables product growth, particularly in systems with expanding feature sets and user types.
- Proven experience with design tools : Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
- 3D-based interactive design experience is a plus.
- Collaboration skills : Comfortable working with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, to implement design solutions effectively.
- Degree : Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Enterprise software experience: Experience designing for CRM, ERP, or other enterprise-level Business Operating Software with extensive systems and functionality is a strong plus.
- B2B and B2C product exposure: Exposure to both B2B and B2C product design is preferred; candidates who understand the strategic differences in user motivation and purchasing dynamics between B2B and B2C will excel in this role.
- Extreme attention to detail: Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to make granular but crucial design decisions that impact overall usability and perception.
- Design documentation and systems: Exceptional skills in design documentation, versioning, and systemization, including the ability to set up frameworks that scale across teams and time.
