Location: Full time Remote (can be worked anywhere in the US). Pay: Based upon years of experience Start Date: This position will start in September 2021 Status: Full Time - Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Central (This schedule is slightly flexible after training)Starting off as a consultant/contract position however there is always potential for long term for the right employee upon business needs. Almost all of the positions within this client start off this way due to being a Fortune 100 company. Job Duties:

  • Perform code abstraction of medical records to ensure ICD-10-CM codes are accurately assigned and supported by clinical documentation
  • Identify diagnosis and chart level impairments and documentation improvement opportunities for provider education
  • Assist coding leadership by making recommendations for process improvements to further enhance coding goals and outcomes
  • Maintain current knowledge of ICD-10-CM codes, CMS documentation requirements, and state and federal regulations
  • Consistently maintain a minimum 95% accuracy on coding quality audits
  • Meet minimum productivity requirements as outlined by the project terms
  • Handle other related duties as required or assigned

Requirements:

  • 2 recent years of HCC / Risk Adjustment and/or inpatient coding are highly preferred
  • Certified for at least 3 years through the AAPC or AHIMA
  • Have high speed internet at their house and a distraction-free home office.
