Parts Associate, Service

TDW Marine , a company specializing in marine diesel engine and generator service and parts, is seeking a motivated Parts Associate to manage the flow of parts for our field service operations. In this role, you will be the essential link between our field service teams and the parts needed to complete jobs efficiently and accurately. You’ll work closely with our Service Coordinator, field service technicians, and Supply Chain Manager to ensure the right parts are available at the right time, playing a crucial role in delivering top-tier service to our clients. This position is key to maintaining our operational excellence and supporting the growth of our business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Fill Service Parts Orders : Source, order, and manage parts for marine diesel engines and generators, ensuring timely delivery to meet service schedules.
  • Deliver Parts to Job Sites : Drive company vehicles to deliver parts and supplies to various job locations as needed, supporting field service technicians to keep projects on schedule.
  • Collaborate with a Cross-functional Team : Partner with the Service Coordinator and Supply Chain Manager to identify parts needs based on service orders and project timelines.
  • Inventory Management : Maintain precise records of inventory levels, update stock lists, and coordinate restocking as needed. Keep everything logged in our tracking system for easy reference and smooth operations.
  • Documentation & Reporting : Track orders and shipments, making sure all parts meet specifications. Document parts moving in and out for inventory and billing purposes, ensuring accuracy at every step.
  • Problem Solving : Proactively handle any part shortages, shipping delays, or order discrepancies with a can-do attitude to prevent any disruptions in service.
  • Workshop & Parts Department Upkeep : Take pride in keeping our workshop and parts area organized, clean, and efficient, creating a safe and effective environment for everyone.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical Activity : This role involves regular physical activity, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, standing, and moving parts and supplies.
  • Delivery Driving : Must be able to safely operate company vehicles to transport parts to job sites as needed.
  • Work Environment : The work may include both indoor and outdoor environments, with regular exposure to workshop conditions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in Parts Coordination : Experience in the marine or automotive industries, but we value any background in parts management.
  • Attention to Detail : Ability to juggle multiple orders, stay organized, and maintain precise records.
  • Problem-solving Skills : Comfortable addressing vendor issues, shipping delays, or order discrepancies and finding quick, effective solutions.
  • Clear Communication : Excellent communicator who works well with both our internal teams and external vendors.
  • Organization : Ability to keep the inventory and workshop areas orderly, so parts are easy to find and distribute when needed.
  • Team Player : Collaborative, working closely with Service Coordinators, Technicians, and the Logistics Manager to keep everything running smoothly.
