Position: On-site Aircraft Modification Engineer - Applicants must be willing to relocate to the Tehachapi CA area or within reasonable distance. Relocation benefits can be discussed.
Adaptive Aerospace Corporation supports customers that do interesting things with airplanes, and we need engineers that like to do the same.
Our modifications touch on all aspects of an airplane. We are looking for talented individuals that enjoy working on challenging engineering tasks with responsibility, authority, and independence.
Overview:
When given a task, develop design solutions that meet the performance requirements, comply with FAA standards and meet internal standards for design elegance, including considerations of manufacturing, installation, maintenance and durability. Communicate the design as development progresses to AAC leadership and customers. Effectively coordinate with teammates in engineering, manufacturing and management to ensure that customer schedule and performance requirements are met. Provide technical leadership to your support team.
Responsibilities:
Design aircraft structural and systems modifications leading to effective mission performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Solidworks – Associates Certificate minimum proficiency
BS in Engineering (ME preferred) or comparable education, plus three years’ experience
Educational requirement may be waived with appropriate experience
A passion for aircraft is highly valued
Desired qualifications
NASTRAN / PATRAN familiarity
Physical requirements
Must be able to lift 25 lbs and access confined areas on aircraft
US citizenship required
