Insight Global is looking for a Process Improvement Engineer for one of our top industrial manufacturing Clients. The Process Improvement Engineer is responsible for understanding the processes for which they are over and is equally responsible with production management for the on-time production of 100 percent first quality products. Process Improvement responsibilities include process and product innovation as well as quality, safety, efficiency, standard productivity, and total system cost reduction.
Specific Job Duties:
Constantly improve the level of quality of the product of his/her assigned processes
Improve the quality of the first quality from the assigned processes, with the objective being to drive the defect level to zero
Develop detailed and complete process specifications
Optimize the process for increased productivity, minimum energy consumption, maximum process efficiency and minimum total system cost.
Establish process specifications and set up process audits to measure conformance to process specifications and overall process control.
Identify and eliminate all safety hazards associated with the assigned processes.
Accountable for all off-quality that is process related and responsible for implementing corrective action.
Responsible for process and product innovation. The process improvement function should constantly seek to determine what new products can be made on the process or how the process can be modified to produce new products or improve existing products.
Document all trials and evaluations in the form of a technical report and properly communicate to management.
Work with production management for proper utilization of process monitoring and feedback systems and specifically, statistical quality control techniques.
Must be an interface between his manufacturing counterpart and the suppliers and customers so that he understands the effect of any changes in his raw material and supplies on the product that reaches his customers.
Share joint responsibility for development of new products with engineer and serves as liaison between development and manufacturing.
