Hospital Automation Network Solutions Specialist

Location: Allentown, PA (Frequent Domestic Travel)

Salary: Up to $120,000 base + 10% annual bonus

Hybrid/Remote: Primarily field-based with hospital site visits

We’re looking for a Hospital Automation Network Solutions Specialist to support cutting-edge patient monitoring and automation solutions within hospital environments. In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex LAN/WAN, WLAN, and VLAN hospital networks while providing onsite training, proof-of-concept testing, and ongoing support for key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting – Provide advanced network and system support for hospital automation solutions, including LAN/WAN, WLAN, VLAN, and VPN configurations.
• Installation & Implementation – Lead the installation, configuration, and testing of networked patient monitoring systems in hospitals.
• Presales Proof-of-Concept (POC) Support – Assist in demonstrating system capabilities to potential clients.
• Training & Customer Support – Conduct onsite and remote training for hospital IT and clinical staff on network-based automation solutions.
• System Optimization & Performance Analysis – Perform wireless site surveys, spectrum analysis, and WLAN/LAN evaluations to ensure peak system performance.
• Enterprise Network Configuration – Design and implement secure, high-performance networking solutions using TCP/IP, IEEE 802.11 wireless standards, and VPN.
• Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with sales, engineering, and clinical teams to improve system functionality and customer experience.
• Hospital IT Liaison – Serve as the technical advocate for hospital automation solutions, addressing network and security concerns with hospital IT teams.
• Onsite & Remote Support – Provide real-time troubleshooting and follow-ups to ensure seamless hospital system integration.
• Travel – This role requires frequent domestic travel and occasional international trips for key account support.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

• 3+ years of Enterprise Network Experience – Strong expertise in TCP/IP, WLAN, LAN/WAN, VLAN, and network security.
• Hospital IT & Automation Experience – Prior experience with medical device integration, hospital automation, or patient monitoring systems is a plus.
• Wireless Networking & Site Survey Expertise – Hands-on experience with Ekahau, AirMagnet, or other wireless site survey tools.
• Advanced Troubleshooting Skills – In-depth knowledge of network configuration, VPN setups, and IEEE 802.11 standards.
• Customer-Facing Experience – Strong ability to train, support, and collaborate with hospital IT, Biomed, and clinical teams.
• Certifications Preferred – CCNA and/or CWNA certification highly desirable.
• Proficiency in IT & Security Protocols – Experience with Windows OS, Linux, VPN configurations, and cybersecurity best practices.
