About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director / Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee various departments including operations, sales & marketing, retail, and events. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a passion for creating exceptional visitor experiences and a proven track record of driving growth and innovation in a cultural or experiential environment. Responsibilities for this role include providing strategic direction for all aspects of museum operations, developing and implementing policies to optimize efficiency and guest satisfaction, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. The role also involves overseeing sales and marketing efforts, retail operations, and providing leadership for the successful planning and execution of special events and educational programs. Candidates for the Executive Director / COO position should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within the cultural sector, hospitality, or a related industry. Strong business acumen, exceptional leadership and team-building skills, and a passion for creativity, innovation, and experiential storytelling are essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to inspire and motivate staff, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and community members. The role requires a visionary leader who can drive the company's mission and objectives forward while ensuring the seamless operation of the various departments under their oversight.
