Job Description

Through leading innovations, we help farmers around the world meet the challenge of feeding a growing population and taking care of our planet. We are currently seeking an Cost Controller for the Valagro Manufacturing team in Orangeburg, SC. As an Industrial Controller, you will be responsible for managing financial data, performing accounting tasks, and leveraging his/her knowledge of industrial control to support our operations.

This position will be on site in South Carolina. Optimal support location for the territory is in the Orangeburg or Columbia area.

Duties

• Financial Data Management: Be accountable for collection, analysis, and interpretation of financial information related to industrial control activities.
• Accounting Tasks: Handle day-to-day accounting duties such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting/monthly fast closing for Group consolidation purposes.
• Industrial Control Support: Utilize knowledge of industrial control processes to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting in alignment with operational activities.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, particularly as they relate to industrial control operations.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting through the application of industrial control knowledge.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 5+ years of proven experience in a similar position with a good understanding of industrial control processes.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial data, performing accounting tasks, and leveraging his/her knowledge of industrial control to support our operations.
• Good understanding of industrial control systems and their financial implications.
• Experience working in cross-functional organizations, navigating a dynamic environment ensuring effective and focused project delivery (on time and within budget).
• Proven ability to prioritize activities and manage multiple requests from different stakeholders.

Preferred

• Proven experience from a plant environment is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and ERP systems, SAP B1 will be considered a plus.
• Italian or Spanish language knowledge will be considered a plus.
