Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Controller to lead the accounting operations of a dynamic and growing multi-entity agriculture company. The Controller will oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance across multiple subsidiaries and business units. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strategic insights in a complex and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Corporate Controller:

  • Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, inventory, and payroll across multiple entities.
  • Consolidate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Ensure timely and accurate close processes for each entity and consolidated reporting.
  • Maintain a robust internal control framework and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with business unit leaders.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, developing scalable processes and team capabilities.
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
  • Evaluate and manage risk related to accounting and finance processes.

Qualifications of the Corporate Controller:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a Controller or similar leadership role.
  • Strong background in multi-entity consolidation, preferably in the agriculture, manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with seasonal operations, inventory-heavy businesses, and cost accounting is highly desirable.
