Job Description

We are currently looking for a new Art Advisor to join our team in Aventura.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate in art with excellent sales skills with the ability to build strong lasting relationships.

About the position :

The Art Advisor achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within the gallery by effectively selling the gallery’s artworks and/or related services. He/she personally promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.

The Art Advisor is generally responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and managing quality of product and service delivery.

The responsibilities of an Art Advisor will include :

• generating and qualifying leads
• sourcing and developing client referrals 
• developing and maintaining a customer database 
• following up on sales activity 
• maintaining sales activity records and preparing sales reports 
• responding to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person 
• carrying out market research and surveys 
• participating in sales events.

Qualifications and requirements :

• Business, Art or Art History graduate, with at least 5 years’ experience in the art world (ideally within an art gallery, an auction house)
• A genuine knowledge and passion for modern and contemporary art, and an understanding of the art market
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both French and English (third language appreciated)
• Hardworking and motivated by sales targets, whilst also being able to work independently and efficiently on a wide range of tasks
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and additional hours as needed for openings and specific events
• Multi-skilled, dynamic team player with a Can-do attitude.

Salary : Fixed salary + commissions on sales

Start date : as soon as possible
