Coho Integrated Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Board Certified /Board Eligible Anesthesiologist Physician to provide exceptional care to our nation's Veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Raymond G. Murphy VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) in Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) :

• Responsible for the performance and supervision of perioperative anesthetic care to patients, including preoperative anesthetic administration and monitoring, and post-anesthesia care in compliance with national accreditation standards.
• Peripheral intravenous (IV) placement, arterial catheter placement, central venous catheter placement, and placement of related invasive and non-invasive monitoring devices.
• Must demonstrate the knowledge of the changes associated with the entire spectrum of aging and disease process and the ability to provide care based upon age and disease related factors.
• Management of problems in pain relief, management of problems in cardiac and respiratory function, and provision of airway management in emergency situations.
• Participate in the development and implementation of program planning, objectives, policies, and standards essential to the delivery of quality Anesthetic care.
• Responsible for entering accurate, complete, timely progress notes for each episode of care in the patient's electronic record.
• Responsible for the proper use, maintenance, and calibration of specialized equipment used in the assessment and care of patients.
• Adheres to safety, health, and infection control standards, regulations and work practices, as well as ergonomic standards.

Essential Job Requirements:

• Citizenship:
  • Proof of US Citizenship is required to work on this contract.
• Education/Certifications:
  • Current, Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Shall be Board Certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Currently certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.
